I have been searching + hoping for a dress form for a while now to make fitting easier and to see how dresses and skirts fall. Dress forms are a little pricey so I decided to search for a used one. Not having high hope I stumbled upon a vintage Acme dress form, perfect + beautiful! Meet Lexi Flowers {my 4 year old son named her}...

OK so I need a "new" project/challenge something to try and better myself so I am taking the Wardrob Re• Fashion challenge!! http://wardroberefashion.net/ I am starting it right now but officially beginning the next round on July 1 {right now I am working on my skills and if necessary will purchase an item ie. bathing suit for summertime!}. Wish me luck and check out the site it will be so fun and a real challenge! Better run gotta get out that fabulous Neechi for my market skirt today! ta ta for now.

Antique Love! Home Sewn Bliss!!

Greetings from under a mound of fabric, notions and thread! I am thrilled to announce I just inherited a beautiful Neechi BU sewing machine from one of my {many} fabulous aunts! I am so excited about it because it comes at a time when I was asked by Wild Sage Designs www.wildsagebags.com to design aprons and sell them in their fabulous store!! Thank you Kim + Danielle I am so excited about the opportunity to sew with you and just "hang" in the store... cheers and so long for now

Meeting and Greeting at the Detailed Bridal Event

The past week was hectic!... but boy was it worth it! Sunday I attended the 2nd Annual Detailed Bridal Event at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Albany. The show was amazing, champagne, food samples {I mean the good stuff mini portions that looked fab!}, cake samples, reception ideas, hair, makeup and of course stationery! I met so many new faces. All of the coupleswere sweet to talk to, excited about being at the event and eager to plan their big day. Among some professional faces Stacy Jubert, www.thechildrensguide.com and April Rounds, www.detailsweddingplanning.com were extremely welcoming and should be proud they put on such a successful show! I also want to mention Katie O'Malley of Katie O Weddings & Events www.katieoevents.com, what a friendly face! Great time had by all! Thank you again Stacy + April!

The holidays are comin' to town..

The holidays are coming to town and Twinkle is making a list and checking it twice because we have A LOT of things a buzzing! Twinkle is up and running {finally, phew} with the letterpress!! Holiday designs are up on the site with plenty of ideas. Along with what's up on the site www.twinkledesignonline.com we can custom design and develop a holiday card unique to you and your family!

Twinkle will be in the 2nd Annual Detailed Bridal Event at the Crowne Plaza in Albany, December 6 12-3pm www.detailsweddingplanning.com I would love to see you there! I will have new designs and selling stationery, jewelry and homesewn goodies!!

In the spring Twinkle will launch letterpress stationery, custom wedding invitations {a hybrid of letterpress and print}, coasters, business cards and more. We are working toward all soy ink, recycled paper and getting even greener! Twinkle is streamlining the site and is planning to relaunch in January! Exciting stuff around here!

summertime fun!

Twinkle Design is gearing up for some summer fun! I look forward to introducing some fun new products at The Children's Guide Summer Games, July 21st at Afrim's 5-8pm www.thechildrensguide.com. Also Twinkle will be at the Tight Knit Craft and Art Event in Troy on the "Market Saturdays" August 15th and 29th. At both event Twinkle will be showcasing our new line of custom birth announcements and home sewn goodies!
